Joker to sport new look in The Dark Knight?

This is coming from Batman-on-Film.com via IGN.com

Reports are coming in regarding the way Joker will look in the new Batman movie, THE DARK KNIGHT, since filming is set to begin shortly.

Batman-on-Film.com has been informed by a scooper that Ledger’s Joker “will have gray skin with lots of scarring.” Furthermore, Joker will reportedly wear “raggedy” garb, which jives with earlier rumors that his outfit will be more like something he’s thrown together than a costume per se.

Christopher Nolan, who also directed BATMAN BEGINS, is said to be going for a “scary” Joker rather than a clownish one which has been seen before. Nolan is going for a much more realistic feel to the film, like he did with The Scarecrow and Ra’s Al Ghul in BATMAN BEGINS.

Batman-on-Film.com is also reporting that Warner Brothers will be releasing an official image of The Joker sometime this summer to keep other images from leaking out.

Squalor is the new black! And also, it seems, the new purple or lavender or whatever color the Joker is.

I dunno, I hope they don't "update" his look too much. The Joker's a classic.

It'll be down to the performance, anyway.

I have faith in his vision, I loved his choices for Batman Begins. I agree though, you still have to make him look like the Joker. At least he's not fat, like Jack's portrayal.
