This one’s rather similar in nature to the international trailer that showed up a few days back. At the moment, I’m not nearly nerdy enough to run these side by side to find the exact differences, but this may change after coffee and breakfast. Of course, this one has the distinct advantage of being presented in…you guessed it…all forms of Glorious QuickTime!
Things that caught my attention in this trailer: love the funky, enhanced color scheme of the whole film. The distinctive color pallet in sequences like the wizard battle evoke a sense of Disney, or even some Roger Corman-esque fare (the turquoise lighting in the bridge of BATTLE BEYOND THE STARS' enemy warship comes to mind). This isn’t an insult – in fact I find such stylistic choices unique and cool. By the way, this is probably the only time you’ll ever see Disney and Roger Corman cross-associated – only on AICN.
And, do my ears deceive me, or is this our first sense of composer Nicholas Hooper’s work? Perhaps a cue composed especially for the trailer?

Very interesting blog.

That was cool! Helena Bonham Carter looks great as Bellatrix Lestrange.
Hopefully it will be a bit more cohesive than Goblet of Fire, which is my favorite of the books but as a movie suffered from Too Much Plot.
Maybe the "feel good" requirements of this kind of cinema will aid the fact that this book was mostly a "feel crappy" kind of experience.
(I liked this book, but it's a slog for the characters. Lots of lameness to deal with vs. few triumphs.)
This was my least favorite Potter book. The climax was terrific though.
