Bottom of barrel scraped even further

From SSH, While this should be taken with a fair amount of salt, scooper 'Horrie' writes:

Just got home from my acting class, and a classmate tells me she just did a guest turn on TVs "Bones". Don't know that there's any truth to this or not, but she's saying that David Boreanaz from the show may be up for - or has auditioned - for the "Sub Mariner" movie...he said he had... P.S though my friend called it the "Namor" movie. I assume its the same thing we're talking about.

The Universal Pictures project will be directed by Jonathan Mostow (Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines), who also rewrote the script.

The main thing that keeps Namor from being cool is those little wings on his feet that enable him to fly. Little feet wings? That's really dorky.

I think it goes a little further than the feet wings, although that certainly doesn't help his cause. Both names "Namor" and "Sub Mariner" induce eyeball rolling at best. Added to the mix is the fact that he lives his life in Aquaman's shadow. Aquaman. The punch-line of the super hero universe...

Good point. I was going to call him an Aquaman knock-off yesterday but a quick Wikipedia check showed me Namor actually predates Aquatool by two years.
