
'"The search for the UP Aerospace payload container is over," said space.com's Senior Space Writer Leonard David on his blog.
"It was recovered today after several searches since its launch last month."
Eric Knight of UP Aerospace reported, “It has been found, just fine.” The ashes of NASA Mercury astronaut Gordon Cooper and several experiments also were recovered.On April 28, the SpaceLoft XL launced from Spaceport America in New Mexico. The rocket, which had been found a week ago, and the payload each returned to earth via their own parachutes. Several helicopter searches had failed to find the payload.

I wondered that too. I would've of thought the goal was to keep one's ashes up in space. You know, "final resting place?"
On the plus side, he can still do the convention circuit.
