More Books of Blood in the works?

From darrkhorizons, Move over "Saw", looks like another horror franchise is in the works - one based on Clive Barker's "Books of Blood" horror anthology series.

Seraphim Pictures and Lakeshore Entertainment are currently in production on "Midnight Meat Train", an adaptation of the second short story from the 'Blood' series, and if all goes well the plan is for Seraphim to turn further stories into features."

We have five or six of the shorts adapted into screenplays in some form" executive producers Joe Daley tells Shock Til You Drop. Thirty stories across six volumes have been penned by Barker over the years, with several of them already having been turned into features such as "Candyman," "Lord of Illusions," and "Quicksilver Highway."

In fact, fellow producer Anthony DiBlasi is already lined up to write and direct an adaptation of "Pig Blood Blues" which should go into production by the early Fall through Phoenix Pictures. Set in a juvenile detention center, 'Blues' unravels a supernatural mystery involving a former cop discovering that the ghost of a missing boy now possesses the body of a giant pig.
