From cinemablend, The debate over who will be the villain in Spider-Man 4 continues. Personally, I’m not going to worry about it until at the very least, Spider-Man 3 is out of theaters. At this early stage the discussion is almost meaningless. But the latest comes from every kid’s childhood hero and Marvel comics guru Stan Lee who has decided to voice his opinion on the whole Spider-Man 4 villain thing.
Stan told ReelzChannel that he thinks The Lizard is the logical choice to be Spidey’s next foe. With the possibility of Venom returning ruined when Raimi decided to blow him to bits (oh come on, if you haven’t seen Spidey 3 yet then why are you reading about Spidey 4?), The Lizard definitely seems to be the fan favorite for who the wallcrawler should face in the fourth movie, should there ever be one. The Lizard’s alter ego Doc Connors has already shown up in the last two Spidey movies, and the actor who plays him, Dylan Baker has indicated he’d love to take his character to the next, tragic stage of his life when an accident transforms him into the scaly monster. Sony Pictures is probably keeping their options open though. Who Spider-Man faces will probably, hopefully, be determined at least in part by who is directing, writing, and starring in the next movie. Right now Sony hasn’t settled any of that.

Did Stan Lee say anything about them making a better movie?
The Lizard would be cool. Even when I was a little kid and knew nothing about Spider-man, I liked The Lizard just from seeing the Mego figure. Because he's a big honkin' lizard.
