Joss Whedon to Direct "The Avengers"?
From worstpreviews, "The Incredible Hulk" director Louis Leterrier recently revealed that he is being considering to helm "The Avengers." He went on to mention that he's just one of many on the short list and that he didn't know who the other directors were.
Now, IESB has learned that the leading contender for the job is none other that Joss Whedon, the creator of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," "Angel," "Firefly" and "Dollhouse." He also directed "Serenity" back in 2005.
This is not the first comic book film that Whedon has been considered for. He was previously working on Warner Bros' "Wonder Woman" film, which has apparently completely fallen apart.
And if you're wondering what Whedon is doing now. He's writing and producing "Cabin in the Woods," which stars "Thor" actor Chris Hemsworth.
