It's those darn unions!
Well, that's what I heard anyway. Every time someone tries to nuke VJ Day (pun intended), the unions kick up a such a fuss! Which in RI might mean a horse head in your bed. Or more likely, a fish head.
By the way, I'm pretty sure this picture was taken when Germany surrendered, so thanks for sullying it with your cracker state's nuke-loving holiday.
