I love the Saturn Awards. Not just because unlike the Oscars they have the sense to nominate brilliant movies like Children of Men, The Prestige, and The Fountain for awards, but also because they make their nominations available in a handy dandy MS Word format, thus saving me tedious hours of rooting through a press release just to figure out who won.The 33rd Annual Saturn Awards are over, and winners we do indeed have. Bryan Singer’s wonderful and lyrical homage to the Man of Steel, Superman Returns, was the biggest winner in the Saturn’s film categories. Of it’s 10 nominations it came away with 5 wins including Best Director for Bryan Singer and acting honors for Brandon Routh. On the TV side, it’s ‘Heroes’ that came away big.

I love the Saturn Awards, too, although I haven’t actually seen a ceremony since the 70’s. Is it even televised anymore? But I gotta love anything with such a “by geeks, for geeks” m.o.
You lose a heap of credibilty by awarding Jennifer Love Hewitt an acting award, but eh. Never let it be said that geeks don’t admire the power of boobs.
What the hoopity hoo is that a picture of? The seating plan?
That seems like a solid list of winners, need to check out Children of Men.
Interesting to see Slither snagged the special effects award despite the fact that they should've called the military.
Are you saying the military has better special effects? You jarhead.
