Slugs

(1988)  ** 1/2

Based on the book of the same name, Slugs is an exciting movie about a mutated form of killer slug rampaging upon the people of the Suburban Town, USA. And that's really all you need to know about the plot.
... because you can leave all reason behind with Slugs!
Following a familiar horror formula, among those killed are trouble-making teenagers and city officials with the authority to command termination of the sewer-dwelling slugs. Perhaps they've been created to wipe out the human "slugs" of our society?
Cast your vote for "gore" with Slugs!
In Slugs, we are presented with one event after another where we are given one or two characters, presented with a snapshot of their typical suburban lifestyle, and then they're killed in mildly elaborate but wickedly gory ways. I actually cackled.

I never thought I'd see "slugs" and "rampaging" in the same sentence.

That picture alone is worth one star.

Ha ha Cat! But yes, slugs are no faster than snails, right? Oh heck, I'll listen to Crystal and leave reason behind.

Wow, I missed this review before. Fantastic stuff--but yeah, maybe there was an untimely salt shortage?
