"Bird" means "chick" or "bitch" in British slang. It's offensive so I like the idea.

But I don't get the comic strip. What the hell are they talking about?

There's more to it. Snoopy flies by somehow using his ears like helicopter rotors. Linus then corrects Lucy's correction of him. How could you not know that?

Hey! I don't want to be a "bitch." Plus whirlybird sounds to close to earlybird. My mother used to play earlybird on the weekends at mcdonalds because she liked dressing up in costumes.

The comic strip is cute though.
