Alucarda

(1978) ***

What's better than a group of robed Satan worshipers? How about a group of disrobed Satan worshipers.

Justine goes to the orphanage and makes friends with Alucarda, another orphan. While they are flitting about the area they find the tomb of an evil woman. They decide to open it and Alucarda becomes possessed. She in turn possesses Justine and the two girls pledge their alliance to Satan. Which of course must be done naked. After the ceremony they bring holy hell to the convent orphanage terrorizing the priests and nuns like never before.

Lots of blood, full nudity and screaming nuns. The girls are way too old to be orphans, their like in their 20's. It was never explained why all the nuns were dressed in bloody gauze clothing but I found it interesting that everyone thought this was pretty normal.

The chain of events happened pretty fast and before I knew it the movie was over. The nuns and priests run their facility like the Spanish Inquisition and I felt like they deserved all the crap that was dished out to them. Actually, there was one nun that totally didn't deserve it but the rest were all evil if you ask me. Overall it was a decent flick even with all the gratuitous nudity. Some of you will appreciate it more than others I'm sure.

You had me at "disrobed Satan worshipers". I actually have a similar movie sitting in my mailbox right now and it can't wait to be watched! There's actually an entire sub-genre of naughty nun movies out there. God bless'em.

I thought of you immediately when I saw where this film was going.

That is clearly the only acceptable answer to the question.

I dunno Octo, most of the robed Satan worshipers I've stumbled into in October are joyless, chubby, pasty faced male Brits...

Excellent point. I defer to your experience.

I'll just keep pretending all the robed figures are like the circle of robed figures in Eyes Wide Shut. Hubba hubba.
