(2006)
Clearly the most politically incorrect zombie film I have ever seen. What a pleasant surprise to find it was made better than I ever imagined. Not that it could compare to a big budget film like Dawn or anything like that, but they certainly made the most of what they had to work with.
A zombie plague is afoot and when it reaches camp special dude, the counselors and campers must fight off the flesh eaters wielding anything they can find. The main characters in the film are Mac, the nun-chuck fighting counselor and 2 mentally disabled campers named Todd & Dale. Dale is Mac's sister who is bound to a wheelchair. She carries a weapon while Todd pushes her into battle. As the film progresses many of the campers are transformed into zombies giving us mentally disabled zombies being fought by mentally disabled campers. The other characters are all blatant stereotypes. The simplicity of the characters works beautifully in with the general silliness of the plot and really does make for some good laughs. One of my favorite lines, "Zombies are stupid. " The beauty of it is that I could totally see a mentally disabled person saying that. Simple and to the point. The person who plays Todd does a fine job and Tony & I enjoyed the film a lot. Of course this isn't available through Netflix, I had to special order it from Amazon. So, unless you want to borrow it from me, it's doubtful any of you will be able to watch it this Horrorthon.
First rule of Horrorthon is: watch horror movies. Second rule of Horrorthon is: write about it. Warn us. Tempt us. The one who watches the most movies in 31 days wins. There is no prize.

So for some reason I've gotta know - does it ultimately just make fun of handicapped people?
Pretty much yeah, but they kick ass too.
I feel like nothing makes fun of them more than going to Camp Special Dude.
You're probably right.
