Rabid Grannies
(1988) **1/2
Elizabeth and Victoria Remington have a huge family birthday party every year. They are both insanely wealthy so every relative young and old come to entertain the crazy old ladies in hopes to get a piece of the pie when they kick it. A creepy old lady arrives with a package during the party with a gift from Christopher, the family black sheep who was the only one uninvited to the bash. The family assumes that Christopher is just trying to mend his relations with the old women but the gift is much more sinister. It's an old wooden box containing two demons who take possession of the old ladies turning them into hideous monsters out for the blood of their greedy relatives.
The film is pretty boring up until Christopher's gift arrives. We meet all the greedy folks as they travel to the old ladies. Then the party begins and I almost felt like I was a kid again stuck at one of my old aunt's parties. When the old broads get possessed by the demons the movie takes a turn for the better. It's hilarious, gross and creepy. Nothing stellar as far as films go but it's a great time waster with a bunch of good laughs and old people.

"Then the party begins and I almost felt like I was a kid again stuck at one of my old aunt's parties." Hilarious.
Yeah, it sounds like this should've been better given the title. I mean, how can you go wrong when you are dealing with old ladies? Even without the demonic possession bickering old ladies are fun to watch.
Was there any crawling on the ceiling? I always like it when possessed old ladies crawl on the ceiling.
This sounds right up my alley.
JSP this film was made for you.
Octo, no ceiling crawling but there is some tumbling down stairs.
