From moviesonline, One question. Who in their right mind wants to live in the Amityville horror house? The house according to Newsday just sold for $1.2million dollars which is an awful lot of money for a house with a murderous and supernatural past. In the home Ronald Defeo Jr murdered his parents and four siblings in 1974 which inspired the book which then became the movie.
Clearly somebody really wanted to buy the home since despite the less then great real estate market it sold in less then 70 days.
