other than the vader voice over, which is silly and redundant, this is pretty good.
i wanted to address the whole Han Solo dying mid-movie idea.
bad idea.
remember, it would have been Lucas directing it, not kirshner. lucas would have fucked up a dark story line. better that he stuck to what he knew best, which is midgets in little bear costumes.
The Vader footage is eminently cuttable but seeing Luke and the droids in that cave is pure gold. I remember when ROTJ came out JPX and I had a major problem with the impossibility of Luke's plan (how to anticipate the plank/artoo/light saber swap?). Only much later was the Jedi (and Sith) talent for planning made clear... get your pieces in place, work the contingencies, leave the precise outcome for the moments right before it happens, etc. If we'd seen Luke and droids in the cave we would've known the "gift" of the droids was a ruse, which is something I didn't quite get at 14 years old.
Sometimes I think ROTJ as it is kind of undercuts the coolness of Luke. This would've helped. So would a different haircut.
Also: 50, why are you so lazy you can't make another comment on the right post? Is your clicking finger tired?
Love it, except I could do without Vader saying "Luuuuuuuke...Luuuuuke"
Yeah, there's something very homoerotic about the whole "seduction of the Dark Side" thing. I never noticed until hearing people giggle watching the Special Edition of ROTJ in 1997. It's all over Sith, too.
