Okay. That was pretty freaking awesome. I'm worried about how much they have changed this from the book though. I've read it's majorly different. The books were SO good. It always makes me worry. I've watched the version made in Denmark which was excellent.
DCD, as a huge Stephen King fan, I learned long ago to look at books and movies as two completely different things entirely. Otherwise, if you read the book first you are bound to be disappointed. Films rarely seem to capture the full character of the book, there are some exceptions.

I'm gonna disagree with DCD on the original version--I gave up on it halfway--just seemed lame and unimaginative and poorly cast.
This one looks pretty great though.
The sequel to the original was unwatchable. I gave up after 15 minutes.
