Back to back Pulse sequels in the works?; I just threw up a little in my mouth

From Moviehole:
"Jamie Bamber will star in the sequels (plural) to the Kristen Bell starrer “Pulse”.

I love “Battlestar Galactica” – could be the best show on TV right now, which makes the lengthy breaks between seasons even more infuriating – and think Bamber makes a terrific new-age Apollo (Captain, not Creed). And I didn’t even realise until recently – having never seen any behind the scenes features or interviews on the show – that the guy was British. Wow. What a flawless American accent he does. My wife isn’t so much impressed by that as she is his six-pack… Heh. I’ll show her a six-pack… one that comes with liquid.

But whatever the case, I think “Pulse: Afterlife” and “Pulse: Invasion“ is a great entrance into film for the young actor. The films’ writer/director Joel Soisson reportedly hadn’t even seen any “Battlestar” episodes when he cast Bamber – he actually discovered him when Bamber tested for another film – but is now a big fan, and playing catch-up. He’s stoked with how versatile and gifted the TV star is.

In the films, Bamber plays Stephen, a recently divorced account exec for a large sales firm. He busted up his own marriage because he slept with someone else. He is the man that "let it all get away." In the post phantom world, he hides out up in his mountain lodge, behind an armored wall of sentries. He finds his child, thankfully still alive, and must protect her from the phantom of ex-wife Michelle (as well as from the jealous and possessive fling subject, Marta).

Unfortunately, Bamber won’t be seen on the big screen – the two films will be going direct to DVD, but that doesn’t mean they haven’t got more than half a chance of being good; especially with genre veteran Soisson (big fan of the “Dracula” sequels) behind the megaphone."

Jamie Bamber's got kind of a mini-Tom-Cruise thing going on. He's very good, but then, ALL the Galactica actors are great. I just watched the miniseries again and was amazed at just how good it all is.

I agree, but I don't agree that these Pulse sequels are a big happy debut for him. Get a better agent!
