Old lady movie alert

Bette Midler, Cloris Leachman, Carrie Fisher, Lynn Whitfield, Joanna Gleason, Ana Gasteyer and Debi Mazar have joined the high profile remake of 1939 classic "The Women" reports Variety.

Meg Ryan, Annette Bening, Eva Mendes, Debra Messing, Jada Pinkett-Smith and Candice Bergen are already set to play friends who discover the pal they envied most is being cheated on by her husband.

The Diane English-directed remake is currently shooting in Boston and like the original, it has an entirely female cast

[JPX] Princess Leia is in it, so it can't be that bad.

[JPX] Sigh, yes it is a slow news day, want to fight about it?

Cripes, that cast says CHICK FLICK in mile high neon. Which is fine, of course, except that this is so aggresively bio-engineered to be a chick flick it's darn creepy.
