From worst previews, Ever since 20th Century Fox decided to make a live action/CGI "Alvin and the Chipmunks" movie, something immediately didn't seem right. Then the trailer came out and confirmed my suspicions that the film is headed in the wrong direction. Simply take a look at the picture, by clicking on the link below, and tell me if the chipmunks remind you of the beloved characters that some of us grew up with.
The film is based on the 1980's cartoon series about a music group of chipmunks comprised of mischievous group leader Alvin; tall and quiet Simon; and chubby, impressionable Theodore.
"Alvin and the Chipmunks" is directed by Tim Hill, who is responsible for last year's "Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties." You can catch it in theaters on December 14th.

Ugh - I think I might actually prefer a picture of that shithead from High School Musical.
