SEAGAL SEEKS KNOWLEDGE DOWN SOUTH

From CHUD, Last month after requesting an apology from the FBI for harming his career, which has ruined his chances of making any films that are not DTV, it was announced yesterday that one of my favorites Steven Seagal will start filming A Higher Form of Learning this week in Vancouver. The feature "centers on a detective who travels the world in pursuit of serial killers. He finds himself in Memphis hunting two murderers while also chasing his own demons"

Sounds promising and no matter what I'll always have time for my Seagal fix but this time around I hope he's not beating up women like he did in another DTV, Attack Force. In that one it looked like he was playing paddy-cakes while on speed and let's be honest, a 6'4" 270lb man slapping a 110lb woman around is not bad ass.

One other thing, it seems that apology never came because just like the other movies Steven has made in last five years this one is not getting a theatrical release.

Sigh. Remember the days when he would take a guy's arm and snap it backwards at the elbow? Or how thoroughly and brutally he beat up the fat guy in Out for Justice?

or when he beat up that fat guy in that movie about alaska (which curiously managed to cast the awesome michael caine) and then made the fat guy say that he was ashamed of himself.

then later in the movie, he dressed up like an antique sofa. oh wait. he does that in every movie.

Well that settles that. I'm having a Steven Segal relapse post haste. Can't wait to tell Lauren the great news...

The last thing I saw him in was the Alaska movie, which was so blindly geared to make Seagal's character look good that at one point he chewed out a Native American tribeswoman for not being environmentally-oriented enough. He also wastes a bunch of government agents who have been misinformed that they're there to fight terrorists and are only doing their jobs.

Again, for a good laugh, check out his imdb bio page. It's pretty obvious he wrote it himself (or one of his publicists, same thing).
