Worst cartoon ever

Not only has this never been funny, but it’s just so lazy to pull out this gag. I can imagine Bill Keane sitting at his drawing board trying to come up with something “cute” and when he hits writer’s block he simply defaults to the “not me” gimmick. He does the same thing with the “footprints” showing what the kids have been up to.

"Family Circus" is so bad that, after the zombie apocalypse, it will turn out to be the only newspaper strip that the zombies enjoy. It makes "Archie" look like The Wire.

'It makes "Archie" look like The Wire.' HAHAHAHAHA!

Family Circus is the muzak of the comic strip world. For people who just want the same reassuring mush they got yesterday and the day before.

I even find myself resenting that it's in a circle. A fucking circle! What're trying to push on us, Keane?!

I would also like to express my disdain regarding the comic strip in question.

It appeals to the unintelligent masses. I work with a woman who thinks it's the funniest thing ever. She obviously has ramen noodles for brains.

The "not me" schtick makes me want to commit a homicide.

He should just call it a day and post a "not me" gag every day. I bet there are still people who would find it 'precious'.

I want to shove dynamite up "Not Me'"s ass

this might be my favorite round of comments for a picture post ever -- jordan is on fire today, and freeek's "ramen" comment caught me so much by surprise, a little bit of snot shot out of my nose when i read it.

"a little bit of snot shot out of my nose when i read it."

Who left that snot on the computer monitor?

Not me.

I would say "Yes, you!" and push the detonator.

The mother is cleaning up the sunflower seeds before she even discovers the culprit. She's encouraging her children to lie and shirk responsibility. So basically Bil (it pains me to write that with one "l") Keane is using lowest common denominator humor to teach his audience i.e., idiots, horrible parenting skills.

Best. Comment Thread. Ever.

I can't even attempt to join the fray of brilliance going on here.

It's like Batman-With-A-Lightsaber levels of awesome.

I would pay good money and sell tickets to see Jordan jam a stick of dynamite up Bil Keane's ass, dressed as Not Me of course.

But then he'd be invisible. I want to see his pain and fear.
