Hey East Coast Horrorthonners, Horrorthon's very own JSP will be in Rhode Island this Saturday. As discussed previously we thought it would be a good idea to meet up at the Cinema Pub in North Attleboro becuase they serve booze and food there while you watch the movie. This brings up the question of the movie. JSP and Whirlygirl will tell you that the movie matters not and the real pleasures of the Cinema Pub is the above-mentioned booze and food options (Whirly and I are crazy about the popcorn there). Movie options are slim. I'll watch anything at the Pub because it doesn't matter.

I know I will sound lame and old, but I would be into meeting up early to hang out some. Don't really care that much for the movie...
dana, i have no shame, i'll work the lame and old! let's get together earlier and hang out. i don't care at all about the movie and may leave when it starts, per the lame and old and "faking" routine.
johnny, if you weren't coming to town, nothing would get me out of the house this weekend. i'll do my best to be there.
AC's a trooper! She drove at least 90 minutes to meet up with us at Dana's house and she drove to Providence last fall to meet with Miko and the gang.
She's a total trooper! And has definitely earned a title as Best Thon attendee!

if i'm able bodied and non-contagious on saturday i'd be pretty flexible as to time.
If people just want to skip the movie and just meet out I don't care. JSP and I can go to the Pub on a different night.
I am working so probably not able to hook up until at least 6:30 or so (taking in travel time).
If we're doing the movie then I'd say Valkyrie as well. If we're just hanging out that's fine too or if we want to meet up and then see where it goes from there I'm game. Doesn't matter to me, whatever you guys decide.
We will be home all day Saturday so if anyone wants to get together earlier you are all welcomed to drop by our house to hang out or to car pool just to save gas that's fine too. Of course JPX won't come here because he's a cat hater but I'm sure the rest of you are fine with that.

There's a good bar up in North Attleboro that JSP and I have been to before, I'll get the details.
I believe JPX is referring to a Mexican restaurant whose name eludes me. They make killer, just-plain-devastating margaritas.

If we can't find it we probably shouldn't make plans to go to it.. Any other suggestions? What about Snookers in Providence. That way I can show off my slightly below average pool skills. I don't know of any other places in the Attleboro area.

I don't care what we do. If it's a movie then I'm fine with any of the horrible choices except for the one with that ugly Vince Vaughn. Usually any movie will do just to get some pub popcorn, but I draw the line with Vaughn. He's just way to f'in ugly.

What a total garbage dump of movies. I don't know if anyone will check this before tomorrow night, but if Valkyrie is the best option, then my vote is for sitting in a room with blank walls and reading the phone book.
Sounds like a get together somewhere else is what's in the cards. Snookers is a fine suggestion, although if I could humbly suggest an alternative - (and i can't remember the name) it's the billiard place in Warwick of Route 2 I think. You get off like you're going to the Rhode Island Mall, but go the OTHER way. Down near the old Apex.
The place itself is more wide open than Snookers, and if Warwick isn't too far for people, I this place would be an overall better atmosphere for a large group of nerds to coagulate.

I'll be getting in on a train sometime late afternoon/early evening, so I'd be totally down with a 5pm Horrorthon Billiard Challenge, so everyone's not out too late.

Johnny Macs is a pretty good bar in Attleboro--Dana I think we went there to see the Gobshites when Tom was still playing with them.
You might check to see if those guys are playing tomorrow--it's always fun to see Ramones tunes played by a big Irish punk band.
We have actually been to Boston Billiards once! That sounds good to me too. (I did not inherit the family pool skills, so you can all laugh at me too.)

i wouldn't make it tonight under my own feeble steam, so husband jonathan has graciously agreed to be my date/chauffeur. the new barrier: our car wouldn't start last night, so while i rest up jon is taking it in to the mechanic. if we have wheels, we still hope to be there.
