Okay I listened to it 3 times and it kind of grew on me, but it's not their best work IMHO.

Hey U2 - go fuck yourself! I haven't heard it yet but I suspect it's yet another big boring single from the world's biggest and boringest band.

And while I'm in rant mode - Bruce Springstein can go suck it too. I'm sick of his trembling, pretentious wistfulness. I want to take him aside and say - hey Boss, I know you think you're all inspiring but the truth is you're actually quite lame. And if you love Obama so much, why don't you marry him?

U2 has a ton of good old songs but their recent years have been adult contemporary tripe. I used to despise Springsteen but my ex-girlfriend listened to him a lot and it sort of grew on me (some of it) over time. I like The Rising album a lot.

Well since Johnny has let out the damn of opinions here is my 2c!!!

It's not quite in the gfu U2 but.. :p

I have never been a big U2 fan although I know their live shows are filled with electricity. Some bands on the live side are awesome and that's why they are around, then you have bands that are good in the studio and suck live.

Their music is usually personified by a single guitar line that repeats every 2 measures with some beat that underscores it and a tagged on bass line. Then Bono fills in with whatever. Radiohead has the same approach with many of their songs they are just more talented. U2 is a little boring in the creative category but then again so are most bands.

Having said that I still like some of their songs and I like what that Bono has tried to use some of his money and fame for good.

This song however appears to sucketh greatly. It could grow on me but I don't see it on the next iTunes commercial. :p
