So what should we expect from Iron Man II?
From filmstalker, If like me, you follow Jon Favreau on Twitter, you'll know that Iron Man 2 starts filming on Monday. And Robert Downey Jr has given a little idea of what to expect.
Also it looks like Tim Robbins will not be appearing in the sequel as Howard Stark after all.
Robert Downey Jr, Gwyneth Paltrow and Jon Favreau are back for Iron Man 2. And they have also been joined by Sam Rockwell and Mickey Rourke. After the first film saw Tony Stark become Iron Man, what can we expect next?
The film is almost entirely about character, and yet we still have twice as much action as we did last time, so it's going to be nuts. Essentially 'Iron Man 2' is about looking behind the armor, or the armature, of a superhero. It's one thing to say you're Iron Man, it's another thing to be fully ready to do that.
Downey Jr was talking to Entertainment Tonight, through Coming Soon. One person who won't be in the sequel is Tim Robbins. Last December he was rumoured to be play Howard Stark in some flashback scenes. Screenrant say Robbins has debunked that one and he won't be appearing.
Sounds good to me, I got a bit bored in the second half of the first film. More character stuff suits me fine. And with Sam Rockwell and Mickey Rourke involved, hopefully we are in for some decent villains too. Tim Robbins would have been a nice addition though.
Even after not being bowled over by the first, I'm still pretty interested in the second. Do you like the sound of where they are going?
