Paramount dumping Spielberg?

From moviesonline, Talk about a shocker! This morning I get word from my good friend Richard ( FilmStalker ) that Paramount is considering dumping Steven Spielberg. The news comes through Reuters. Steven Spielberg according to Richard is not happy with his situation at Paramount since they bought Dreamworks and when his contract comes up at the end of the year is weighing his options. Paramounts execs are making it clear that to them its not a big deal if Steven Comes or goes. Read the story here

My take on it and opinion of the situation is that Paramount doesnt want Spielberg to leave. In the same token they are not going to freak out and play chicken little and act as if the sky is falling. I would expect Paramount to put on a strong face. Paramount is a good studio and Spielberg is a great filmmaker. I hope they stay teamed together!
