Tucker And Ratner Team For Sinatra
From cinemablend, Chris Tucker and Brett Ratner are getting back together, because punishing us with Rush Hour 3 just wasn’t enough hurting for them.
New Line has them making a movie out of the book “Mr. S: My Life With Frank Sinatra.” Ratner will direct and produce while Chris Tucker plays Frank Sinatra’s butler. That’s not a bad thing for Tucker, since the book is told from Sinatra valet George Jacobs’ perspective and it’s the film’s starring role. The book is described by screenwriter William Stadiem as “a love story between two very unlikely people.” Sounds like a Rat Pack version of Driving Miss Daisy.
Ratner has always had something of a Sinatra obsession, which probably explains his playboy lifestyle. Making a movie about the secret life of Sinatra is a dream come true for him. I wonder if Tucker will have to tone down his squeaky voice for a serious role? Maybe they can cast Jackie Chan as Frank.

My favorite story about Chris Tucker's character in 5th Element goes like this: Luc Besson wants Tucker to wear a ridiculous outfit, so he goes to wardrobe and gets a much MORE ridiculous outfit and says "Chris, wear this." Chris says "no way am I wearing that." So Besson shows him the more toned-down outfit that he actually wants him in and says "okay, how about this?" And it works.
Reminds me of how Alfred Hitchcock said actors are basically cattle.
