(2006) ***
Adam had been corresponding with Dr. Vick now for several months through email, when he receives an invitation from the doctor to join him at his home an be his assistant. He accepts graciously and is excited to be part of Dr. Vick's Life force experiment. Upon arrival at the doctor's secluded mountain home Adam is promptly greeted and then strangled to death by Dr. Vick. He is then injected and shortly after wakes up. His eyes have gone from brown to a pale blue, almost white. His sentence structure is garbled but Adam is very much alive. He decides to stay on as the doctor's assistant not like he really had a choice. The experiment continues over a course of weeks where Adam is painfully killed and resurrected over and over again.
I was expecting a complete "Re-Animator" rip off but what I got was rather unique and refreshing. With each resurrection Adam changes a little more. Eventually he wants to leave but the doctor won't let him go. It was a good watch and not your run of the mill story.

I was thinking "Re-Animator rip-off" as well. I'm glad it turned out to be worth it!
