Head Trauma
(2006) **½
George returns to claim the house his Grandmother left to him 20 years ago. The house, being left unattended for all that time has been condemned by the state and is scheduled to be torn down. He is determined to save his past, so he works hard trying to repair the old house. While working, he falls and hits his head, bringing an onslaught of nightmares and blurred memories. He becomes disillusioned and suspicious of his neighbors thinking that one of them is trying to kill him. One of the neighbors self admittedly is sabotaging George’s repair work because he wants the eyesore of a house gone. As memories flood back into George’s head he must sort out between what is real and what is his imagination.
Another movie that seemed to be slow moving to me. The biggest problem is that George is not the most likeable guy. He’s sloppy and careless and one has to wonder why he left Granny’s house for so long in the first place. He has one neighbor that is trying to help him with the cleanup and he just doesn’t seem very grateful at all. Let’s face it, George is a weirdo. Not a big deal if you miss this one.
