Hey did you guys hear the news? Obama won!

Johnny Sweatpants said...

So do you think Sarah Palin will go the fuck away now?

Too bad about Prop 8...

Thank God! Some of my faith was restored in the US yesterday. There are many out there with something other than a brain stem and a small piece of brain reserved for right wing religious zealot thoughts. Sad that things had to get so screwed up to get here but you know shit is bad when the US elects a black man with a Muslim name. :o

I predict that Palin will get her own talk show because she's "precious" with her "moxy" and spunk.

I hate spunk.

Johnny Sweatpants said...

I'll give her spunk upside the head. Oh wait... didn't mean it like that..

Ewwwwwwwwwww.

Johnny Sweatpants said...

And now she's all "it is a time to unite and all Americans need to get together and help with this new administration being ushered in". So wait, you didn't mean it when you said Obama's not fit to be president because he pals around with terrorists?

C@nt...

Seriously though Berkeley was INSANE last night. People were literally dancing in the streets. And that speech had me misty-eyed. When he promised to be honest with the American people I was like "Really? Presidents can do that?" Actually the speech was perfect from beginning to end (except for the very last sentence, sigh).

I totally cried last night. It was awesome. Such a great feeling.

WTF with CA and Prop8 though, JSP?

DCD, a friend asked me the same thing earlier today and I said:

Well I suppose we’re still a few years away from living in a truly tolerant society. I think it’s a combination of religious mumbo jumbo and a knee-jerk revulsion that idiots have towards people that are different from them. Perhaps once another generation of old fashioned homophobes die off we’ll make some headway. In the meantime I’m glad I’m not gay. And at least the ban on ill treatment of farm animals won!

Palin is officially getting the bus treatment today, as in thrown under. Several reports coming in from conservative sources about how she threw tantrums and yelled at her aids when she saw bad press, that she refused prep for the Couric interview and that they told her to buy 3 outfits for the convention and later received a 150,000.00 bill.

Yes! Under the bus! Send her back to the blizzardy wastes so that she'll never return!

Myself, I've been indulging in a few days of not watching the news, although I did see the following bitterly amusing headline:

Californians Like Chickens More Than Gay People.

It's telling that the funding for the "Yes on 8" movement all came from out of state. Not that that gets anyone off the hook for taking hateful propaganda to heart.
