(2006) **Celia goes to a frat party on her birthday expecting to have fun. Instead she is drugged, raped and dies of an overdose. She then finds herself trapped in an alternate dimension somewhere between real life and a permanent afterlife.
In this dimension there are these soul eating demon things that she must avoid by staying in the lighted areas, her sanctuary. She must find the entrance to heaven before her sanctuary completely disappears.
So, are you thinking, this movie sounds like crap? Well you would pretty much be right on the money. It started out with potential. Once Celia is drugged she passes out. When she awakens she is in a bathroom, she looks around then sees herself in a slump in the shower. A little while later she encounters the demon creatures and I thought those guys were pretty cool.
Then this annoying guardian angel guy shows up and the whole movie does an about face. Blech! It was boring and loaded with sentimental crap. I only gave it 2 stars because I liked the soul eaters.
