My Little Eye
(2002) ***
A group of twenty-something aged men & women sign up for a reality show. They must live together in an isolated house for six months having their every move recorded on film. The prize is one million dollars and the only rule is that everyone must stay. If one person leaves, they all lose.
As they get closer to the 6-month goal things begin to get complicated. The food supply drop off is filled with bricks instead of food and Danny gets notified of his Grandfather’s death. When one of the girls finds blood on her pillow they begin to think that things are not quite what they seemed to be. Is this just a reality show or is it something much more sinister.
A surprisingly decent flick. I find most of these reality show based things to be total crap but this film doesn’t disappoint. First of all, these people are just inches away from that 6-month goal and everything has been status quo so far so when their captors start messing with them it really catches them off guard.
Next, when they get the bricks I thought this is going to be that starve them out and they’ll fight amongst themselves until they kill each other scenario but I was wrong. Things take on an interesting twist when a lone cross-country skier arrives at the house suspiciously. I don’t want to reveal any more because it would ruin the film but all told I found it to be a good choice and well done.

This actually sounds pretty damn good. I would love it if they did a game like this in real life. They probably have a game like this in Japan.
I would think it would be pretty amusing watching them go stir crazy after a couple of months.
