Thor movie update
From darkhorizons, IESB reports that the character of Donald Blake has been added to the end of the script of Kenneth Branagh's upcoming "Thor" film.
Before now, the script was set entirely in the land of the Norse Gods but the introduction of this character is essential to how Marvel will tie Thor into its proposed "The Avengers" movie which is set in a contemporary timeframe.
The scene itself apparently has Blake discovering the magical Norse hammer Mjolnir and turning into Thor. Branagh himself will also have an acting part in the "Thor" film which opens July 2010. "The Avengers" film is currently scheduled for July 2011.

Not sure how I feel about Branagh being announced to direct this. His forays outside Shakespeare can be brutal (Mary Shelley's Frankenstein?!).
