Let Sleeping Corpses Lie

(1974) ***1/2

Misogynistic George and passive Edna run into each other and out of necessity share a ride through the English countryside.  En route to Edna's sister they pass some men trying out an experimental pest control device.  This device may have some unintended and deadly consequences, as George and Edna are to discover.

Phew, this one turned out to be a good pick.  The first half was entertaining mainly as a time capsule of seventies Britain (and its gratuitous, Gretchen-y streakers) but otherwise meh. Glad I stuck with it, as the second half pays off with plenty of undead action, gore, and a satisfying body count.

It's almost getting to the point where I'm disappointed in science for not yet producing zombies.

Gretchen was a streaker? Who knew?

Hmmmm...keep watching gore and you're gonna lose your biddy status.

Who kidnapped AC and replaced her with this new non-biddy status???

Yeah! I was just commenting on Mr. AC's review that I appreciated the biddy warning and now my biddy compatriot goes and watches it!

Good for you! Sometimes we have to shake that biddy thing up.

Not to worry, still a biddy, much more cautious of what I watch than almost everyone else here.
