Forest of The Damned gets distribution

A year ago Octopunk and I stumbled upon this wacky trailer and were both giddy about it; then it disappeared off the radar. I'm pleased that it is finally getting released, especially because Tom Savini stars. This looks to be a winner for many future Horrorthons...

From Moviesonline, "Jo Roberts the director of Forest of The Damned dropped us a line to let us know that his movie has been picked up by Universal for release in North America. We first reviewed this movie almost a year ago and congratulate im on a job well done. The great Tom Savini (of George Romeros Dead trilogy fame) is staring in a new indie horror flick called "Forest of the Damned" ! The story follows a group of teenagers who are on summer vacation. As they are driving through the Miranda forest they accidentally (of course!) run over and kill a young girl. With their car out of commision and no cell phone reception they are stuck to wandering the woods.

They soon come across the cabin of Stephen (Tom Savini). Stephen is a lonely hermit who has spent most of his life holed up in his cabin in the woods after witnessing his parents brutal murders by the strange 'nymph' creatures whom inhabit the forest. These nymps were actually angels from heaven who were expelled once they began to experience human emotions such as lust, desire, hatred and the like.

Stephen, bored with his lonesome life, uses the kids as bait for the nymph's dirty work. Looks like an interesting movie and I am really looking forward to seeing Tom Savini in action. The original Title was "The Forsaken Forest"."

The point should be made clear that the monsters in this are NAKED CHICKS with big teeth.

Shall I say it again? NAKED CHICKS. Okay, I know how I sound, but this isn't the "obligatory tit shot" we're talking about, these are central characters who never wear clothes.
