Another unnecessary remake, The Creature From the Black Lagoon!

The horrorchannel, "An inside source just informed me that one of the first bits of casting for Universal's ill-advised remake of The Creature From the Black Lagoon has taken place; veteran creature performer Brian Steele has landed the role of the titular aquatic menace.
You probably don’t know his face since it’s usually behind tons of makeup but some of Steele’s more recent gigs have included lycanthropic shennannigans in both Underworld films, a Hell Knight in Doom and the Drake Monster from Blade: Trinity. He even played the creature in Stuart Gillard’s aptly titled TV movie Creature. Needless to say, the man knows how to be a monster! For a full list of the Steele's work click here to be taken to his official site.

THC will be keeping eyes peeled and ears perked for more info on the remake, which you may recall is set to be directed by Sahara's Breck Eisner. Don’t look for any sympathetic monsters in this remake though. The Gary Ross script I reviewed here is all about action and adventure, hence the whole "ill-advised" comment..."

I always liked the Creature because he's a head-to-toe scaly monster, as opposed to the fully dressed mammalian monsters in the short Universal roster.

Dracula, Frankenstein, Wolfman, Mummy -- they're just guys.
