Nineteen year old Katrina Skinner is a train wreck. She has a toddler who she neglects, a brother who is in prison for murder and a Father that is fed up with her shit. What’s a girl to do? Plot to kill her Dad so she can inherit his money. The film’s title sums it up best, this truly is a peek at suburban mayhem. It’s a wild ride through the eyes of a teenager who has snapped. Katrina’s life is one of sex, violence and crime. Riddled with dark humor and spontaneous sex, this was a pretty fun film. The story of how Katrina “went bad” is told from many perspectives. People effected by her whirlwind of chaos give insight through flashbacks and retelling of rumors. A little bit much to follow at times with all the flashbacks, but overall its pretty solid.
Did I mention there’s sex? A whole bunch of it!
