(2009) ***
This movie is very entertaining, but they changed the storyline twice. Once in the middle and once in the end, I believe. I just had to see it because it starred Jeffery Combs.
The first storyline is about this girl who has always been traumatized because when she was little, she was dared to enter a big spooky house with a mean lady who runs an orphanage.
As she goes for the dare, she sees dead children laying around the house and sees the mean lady killing herself by cutting her hands of in the the insinkerator(neat scene!!)
The second story line puts the little girl as one of the orphans in the orphanage, being the cause of the mean lady going ballistic, killing the children and herself. So, that ends up being confusing.
This little girl grows up to be an actor who is medicated and is told by her doctor that the only way to get past this is to go back to the house and face her fears. Her troupe of actors gets hired to work this particular house that has been turned into a haunted house attraction, run by Jeffrey Combs. The holographic figures end up becoming real, due to the ghost of the mean lady, and start killing people. The effects in this movie are really good, I just wished they stuck to one plot. Someone needs a serious manicure!!

Wholeheartedly agree with your review, too many twists. Was the director taking notes from M.Night Shyamalan?
I love the pictures you chose. This one sounds right up my alley!
How does she tie her shoes? Or - if I may be crude - wipe her ass with those nails?!?!
Of all the films from the fangoria series - I liked this one the best.
Man, that mean orphanage lady looks like a nightmare. Good job selling this one Abby, it looks cool. And yeah -- Jeffrey Combs is hard to resist.
wow, sigourney weaver is getting nasty in her old age.
