The Thing

(2011) ***1/2

Good, explaining prequel to John Carpenter's The Thing. Lots of Weegies(Norwegians) in there, being set up with the Norwegian camp in Antarctica and all. So, there is a lot of screen reading at one point then most start talking English. Filled with tons of action and scary jump-out moments, its a god movie to see if you have seen John Carpenter's version first. I was sitting there watching, making sure the bodies were in the right places at the Norwegian camp that they find later.

Basically similar to John Carpenter's film, its about an alien craft found at a research site in Antarctica.
Why does Eric Olsen always look lost?

The acting is decent staring Eric Olsen and Adewale Agbage(Mr. Eko from Lost).
Oh yeah, and I was pretty happy that they kept the "dum-dum" theme!
