The Psychic

(1977) ***

Virginia has visions which lead her to find a skeleton behind a wall. As she and her psychiatrist seek to find the identity of the unfortunate soul she begins having more visions. She thinks she is seeing visions of the past but they are actually glimpses of the future. A future that includes murder.

Classic Lucio Fulci mystery although certainly not his best. Virginia just has this dopey bewildered look on her face throughout the film. I'd have to say the problem here is that all the characters are quite bland. It's hard to care what happens to them when you're just not interested in them at all. Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad film but it certainly could have been much better.

I don't know much about Fulci, but the look of these images reminds me of some of Argento's more tepid movies. A dash of style and two buckets of (snoring sound).
