Straight-Jacket

(1964) ****

After spending twenty years in an insane asylum for decapitating her cheating husband and his hussy with an axe, a woman returns to her family where a series of murders puts her sanity into question.

This was a nice French break. Joan Crawford's performance is top notch, not to mention, her crazy eyes scared the hell out of me.

I LOVE this movie for a ton of reasons. One is that Joan Crawford was not just willing but eager to use the fading of her beauty to go ahead and look ridiculous and awful at times. Such an astounding actress.

I'm so glad you watched this! I caught this off-season a few years ago and absolutely loved it! It made me appreciate why people like Joan Crawford so much (even if she was a miserable person in real life). Try to catch Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? if you get a chance, great stuff.

Excellent. I'm trying to think if I've seen a Joan Crawford flick. Can't think of one.
