Thankskilling

(2009) *1/2

To compensate for wrongs done by the Pilgrims, a 500-plus year old demon turkey menaces a group of college students going home for Thanksgiving break. Wait, what?

When you learn the budget was $3,500 and the tag line is "gobble gobble, motherfucker," you will guess (correctly) that this film was created by college students who were making it up as they went along. When you read the plot and/or see the movie, you will guess (incorrectly) that the cast and crew were on drugs throughout production. On the plus side, there are some laughs and some gory moments, but for the most part Thankskilling is bloated even at 66 minutes, and is possibly the most amateurish movie I've ever seen.

Nice review, AC! It sounds so bad. Where did you find this one?

Good lord, AC, I would expect this kind of movie from Crazycat, but you? Where did you find this one?

Wait, how do you know they weren't on drugs?

Nice pick, AC. I think the 500-plus year old demon turkey should join with the Leprechaun from the Leprechaun movies to form a support group for ridiculous monster mascots of B-list holidays.
