House of 1000 corpses

(2003) ***

I'm a big fan of most of Rob Zombie's films, so here we go..
Set in the late 70's, its about 2 teenage couples touring cross-country writing about bizarre attractions. They come across Captain Spaulding's Museum of Monsters and Madmen, and go on the murder ride and find out about infamous local serial killer, Dr. Satan. They come across a loony family on their way of their search. I love the cast..can't go wrong with Karen Black!

There are two set of eyes lookin at ya

This movie is kind of a cross between The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Natural Born Killers. There are Aleister Crowley, satanic and cannibal references in the movie, making it most interesting! I love Grampa Hugo, though sadly passed away soon after making of this movie.I love Grampa's doo!

Another great, is the comical effects from Captain Spaulding...not just because he is a clown. He says his best lines at the main menu of the dvd.Fuck your grandma!

One happy family!Dr. Satan!

Cool shit! There's a lot of Rob Zombie hate on this blog but I'm a big motherfucking fan. I applaud the fact that he enlisted so many B-movie horror actors in his movies. He's a talented musician and movie director but his genuine, unwavering love for old school horror is what sets him apart.
