Ooooh, the controversy starts. From JPX's 5 star rating down to 3 1/2. Now I'm really curious about this film.

I want to see a real review, young lady!

catfreeek, do see it for yourself and decide. it was hard for me to muster the nerve to disagree with jpx's rating, but i found some of the CGI trolls "meh" and thought the found footage approach was handled inconsistently (blair witch and cloverfield did that part better). i liked the troll hunter, the humor, the gorgeous views of norway, the cave scene jpx mentioned in his review, and some of the better-realized trolls. i just didn't find it scary at all. maybe i need a bigger tv!

jpx, no need, you covered the plot beautifully for us! :)

on average, AC's comments are about five times as long as the reviews they're attached to.

Yeah, why don't you try for a limerick?

I've got this too but I haven't watched it yet.

Don't worry guys, I'll settle this once and for all once I post my review.

hmm, the one-sentence reviews are causing more fuss than i expected. maybe i'll limit them to the oft reviewed, but spread out a bit more for lightly reviewed.

mr. ac is planning a haiku review for trollhunter, i think.

found footage is iffy i'm told
and parts of this movie are gold
but i just didn't care
and there wasn't a scare
and i napped while the end credits rolled

Ha! Love the limerick! I say do as many one-liners as you want. JPX only said that because you disagreed with him. I'm curious to watch this now - controversy brewing!

Oh I don't care if people disagree with me about the movies I like, not at all =) I like to read differing opinions about the movies we watch here.

I love Mr. AC's limerick!

Oh I agree, Trollhunter isn't scary at all, it was just fun to see a lesser-known monster featured on the big screen (or in my case my computer screen).
