(2010)*
The second short film from the Deadtime Stories Anthology. This film is about a college professor who, is sleeping with one of his students. However, as many of you probably already noticed by her swelling chest, she is pregnant with his child. He treats her poorly, she commits suicide in his class, and then haunts him.
The two characters in this film are very one dimensional. I know it's a short film, but there is nothing to the professor other than the fact that he's an arrogant mean teacher. And, there's nothing to the student except that she's a sad, mistreated girl. If you're curious about this, just read the plot summary on wikipedia. It'll pretty much give you the same effect as watching the whole thing.

It's too bad the result is 1-dimensional, as you said. Plots like this can open up numerous possibilities for thought-provoking dialogue, as well as allow the main character some time to self-reflect and work on becoming a better person. All while being haunted by a former lover/student. (Ew . . . ?)
When I started reading this plot it seemed interesting . . . moments later that interest fizzled.
Ugh, thanks for suffering through it so we don't have to.
Committed suicide in the classroom? That sucks. How are the other students supposed to concentrate now? Did the professor get fired or does he have tenure? This one sounds like a stinker.
But do they get an A in his class? If you get a 4.0 for the semester your roommate commits suicide, you should get an A if a classmate offs themselves.
You're right, Crystal, this does open up some interesting debate.
Seriously! Did the other students get any counseling after that? I agree with Octo, they should totally get a free pass for that class.
