Dark Heaven

(2002) **

This post apocalyptic tale leads us to officer Gabe Goodman, who just may be the last man on earth. Gabe is forced to confront these deadly angels all clad in gold. They take him through a hellish journey, reliving all the crappy things that happened to him in his life.

What a hot mess! This film is all over the place jumping from one thing to the next. It’s harder to follow than a ant in the woods. I did give it 2 stars for the funky gold costumes and the general trippyness of the film. There are a few scenes that almost rescue the film, then it passes and we’re back to confusing weird shit. But darn it, it had a cool cover! I vote skip it, wish I had.

I got excited when you wrote, "This post apocalyptic tale leads us to officer Gabe Goodman" because I thought it starred Gabe Kaplan. I was sadly disappointed when I re-read it.

Haha! If it had starred Gabe Kaplan it probably would have been better.

I want there to a whole Gabe Kaplan horror subgenre!

I was intrigued by the angels in gold thing, then un-intrigued by the journey through the guy's life. Feh.

"Harder to follow than an ant in the woods." Nice!
